   Discover Science Resource Box Loan Policies
  1. Science boxes will be available only by advanced reservation through our online booking system or faxing in of booking forms.
  2. The loan is only for schools listed in MOE directory.
  3. Reservations can be made online or via fax at least 3 working days in advance of the loan period.
  4. Science boxes can be delivered at a charge ranging from $70 - $100 or is waived for self pick-up. The same charges apply for returns.

    5. • Do note that some large exhibit may require a professional to handle the item. Teachers are advised to check with us.
  5. All charges are inclusive of installations.
  6. For pick-ups, borrowers must present a confirmation form (printout from website) or our faxed reply slip confirmation.
  7. Minimum loan period is 1 week and maximum loan period is 3 weeks. There is a cooling period of 2 months before the same item can be loan out to the same party again.
  8. There is a limit of 5 themed boxes for any particular loan. However, it is subject to availability.
  9. Loan boxes may only be picked up during the designated times. It is advised that you call the Science Centre to confirm pick-up hours.
  10. When a box is being checked-out or accepted, the borrower is advised to confirm that all materials are in the box and that they are in good condition. Please go through the items with the staff or the delivery personnel. Upon completion, the borrower will sign the “Loan Acceptance Form”. The same procedures apply for return boxes.
  11. All loan boxes must be returned before additional boxes may be checked out.
  12. There is a late fee of S$5 for every week of overdue returns for each box.
  13. Borrowers accept responsibility for all the science box materials.
  14. If any science box materials are lost or damaged, the borrower is responsible for the replacement value.
  15. Borrowers should handle the science box materials according to the instructions inside each box.
  16. Borrower should not make any attempt to make repairs to any of the science box materials. We have qualified personnel who will tend to this.
  17. Failure to comply with the policies of the organisers will result in loss of borrowing privileges.
